Floods can be a natural occurence where your business is located.

In fact, over time floods have helped form the land on which your business may be built. This means that future flooding for you is inevitable and is a high risk to your business.

Flooding is extremely variable in Australia. Currently, you might be experiencing an extended dry time but this can quickly change with flooding rains. It is therefore critical that you prepare for flooding whilst the sun shines.

The SES has prepared a series of Business FloodSafe Guides for areas affected by flooding throughout NSW. These can be found on the SES website under FloodSafe Guides.

The SES has prepared a Riverine Business FloodSafe Toolkit for businesses affected by riverine flooding and a Flash Flood Business FloodSafe Toolkit for business affected by flash floods.

Posters have been produced to assist business owners prepare for flooding. The posters are for businesses who experience riverine flooding and flash flood situations.

For more information download the Business FloodSafe Toolkit that is appropriate for your business and display the appropriate poster in your workplace. the Toolkit has won a Highly Commended in the Community Safety Awards
